Introducing JFO Aviation

Hi there:

Welcome to JFO Aviation! My name is John McDermott. I am an Airline Transport Pilot and Gold Seal Flight Instructor. I am thrilled to share my love for aviation with you, and I have some exciting updates for some new plans for JFO Aviation.

I have been involved with the aviation industry in one way or another for 10 years, of which I have been flying for close to six. I am the first professional pilot in my family and have spent my adult life learning as much as I can about the aviation industry.

I'm writing with a quick request. I want to make aviation more accessible to students at all levels. With such high barriers to entry, I figure I'll throw my hat in the ring to see if I can provide easier access to aviation resources and training for student pilots interested in leisure or professional flight.

My initial goal is to see if people would be vaguely interested in a basic platform that acts as a one-stop-shop for the best aviation references, resources, and information. I am currently compiling my favorite resources for pilots at each level to compile into one place. If you think that having such a resource would be helpful, I would appreciate it if you would take a moment to send me your favorite websites, articles, videos, and media. Please use the form below to send me what you find interesting.

I look forward to hearing from you.
